The Lady Anchoress

I designed and made costumes for this film. The director wanted me to take inspiration from Wes Anderson’s colour direction when designing the gowns, as well as traditional catholic religious garments. Though the film was edited into black and white - the value of the colour tones worked in favour of this.

Synopsis: The Lady Anchoress is a dark comedy satire that confronts religion and romance through surrealism, social commentary and satire.

Francesca finds improbable love in the company of a priest.
